The Rotary Paddle Level Switch is an industrial point level switch designed to detect the presence of bulk solid materials such as powders, granules, pellets, grains, feed, cement, fertilizer, and plastic inside silos, hoppers, storage bins, and process vessels. It operates using a low-speed electric motor that continuously rotates a paddle.
When the material reaches the paddle, the rotation is blocked, causing the internal mechanism to activate an SPDT contact for alarms or automatic control. Once the material level drops and the paddle rotates freely again, the switch automatically returns to its normal operating state.
The Rotary Paddle Level Switch is widely used for high-level alarms, low-level alarms, and automatic filling or discharge control in bulk material handling systems. Constructed from Stainless Steel SUS304, equipped with a 1 RPM motor, and available with multiple paddle designs, it is ideal for plastic, food processing, pharmaceutical, animal feed, fertilizer, cement, grain, and many other bulk solid applications.
